My expertise in the field of analytical chemistry is focused on Ion Chromatography separations. I have been in the industry since the late 1970’s privileged to work with the first Dionex ICs. I have worked with major IC manufacturers; I am the former President/CEO of the North American operations of a Swiss analytical company, and I have owned an Analytical Lab. Ion Chromatography, HPLC, and Capillary Electrophoresis instruments and applications are where I have spent the vast majority of my working career, and I have served highly unique customers with difficult samples and challenges. I specialize in Ion Chromatography - not the type of analysis most labs offer when they say their lab offers IC analysis. Most of those labs have a single IC, operated by a technician, doing a single type analysis with a set condition, with no real application expertise. My specialty is getting to the right answer, figuring out the best column, the best separation, and the optimal detection mechanisms. About our Team

Jeff is an experienced IC analyst focused on Ion Chromatography separations and occasional HPLC. His role is multi-faceted and includes method development for difficult samples, evaluating instruments, and software to meet the needs of the client. He assists clients with IC performance issues, helps lower costs by evaluating columns, instrument choices, determines possible alternatives, and performs IC separations in our laboratory for customers with difficult samples and unique challenges. Yes, it’s hard to get an IC guru out of the lab, and he would love to work with you!

His IC experience started at Exxon R&D in 1980, where he developed methods, wrote his first white papers, and spoke at conferences on the subject of IC applications in wastewater, petrochemicals, and alternative fuels. He then spent several years with Dionex. His first laboratory was an IC-focused lab that I eventually sold in 2000.
